Enter data
Press STAT → 1:Edit. Type each value and press ENTER.

Clear safely
Highlight the list name, press CLEAR, then ENTER. DEL removes the list from the editor instead.

Sort
Use STAT → EDIT → SortA( or SortD( and specify the list.

Worked example

Enter 4, 7, 7, 10, 12 in L1 and sort ascending.
